AirPods Pro 3, AirPods 4, and AirPods 4 with ANC all use the H2 chip, which powers Adaptive Transparency, Personalised Spatial Audio, and low-latency Bluetooth processing. The AirPods Max still runs the older H1 — it lacks the H2's computational audio features like Adaptive Transparency and Conversation Awareness but remains on sale. If chip capability matters to you, any H2-based model is the better pick.
