The iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max feature the A19 Pro with a 6-core GPU — best for gaming, ProRes video, and computational photography. The iPhone 17 and 17 Air use the standard A19, which shares the same CPU but has a slightly lower GPU configuration and no ProRes hardware. The iPhone 17e carries the A19 with fewer GPU cores for a lower price point. The iPhone 16 and 16 Plus remain on sale with the A18 — still powerful, but a generation behind on Neural Engine performance and efficiency.
